Our
Story
In the fall of 2011, a small group of people participated in a class titled, “Justice for the Poor.” As part of that class, each were asked to give something up, pool their funds, and at the end of their time together had $2,300. These participants hearts were touched and called into action. From this, Safe Haven Ministry was born and through prayer, they opened the Free Breakfast Club on March 24, 2013.
Today, Safe Haven Ministry is comprised of a multi-faith community board of approximately 12 Christ followers and a multitude of volunteers across several ministries. All involved are passionate about the mission statement and continually looking to the future to see how we can meet needs and build relationships while demonstrating Christ’s love.
